I got mine for about $300 Canadian. They've become rare now and have gone up to almost $370 which isn't really worth it unless you simply must have a second card for SLI. Of course you need a PCI Express slot to house these babies.

The new 8600 line is out now but I hear it's a little disappointing in power, though the price is fair at around $250 US.

I really have to say that this 7900GT is the best video card I've ever owned. I fell in love with my 9800pro and it lasted me a good while, but this Nvidia card is just unbelievable. Doom 3 is so creepy-crawly at a high frame rate, HDR looks fantastic in Half Life 2: Episode One, and I simply refuse to play anything without antialiasing anymore. I figure this card will last me a while unless I get a bigger monitor supporting a higher resolution.

Search my blog for "BFG RMA" for my reasons why they're the best manufacturer these days.
