Who is Brian really?
I live in Toronto, Canada, and work for an IT firm. That’s about as much real-world info I’m comfortable divulging here. What you read on my blog is the real Brian, but, for the sake of freedom of speech, I feel most comfortable leaving a gulf between my cyberspace and meatspace personae. Brian@demodulated – achieving oneness through duality since 2005!
Who is Brian at work?
My job title is “Technical Specialist” which means, naturally, that my job is much more varied than specialized. I do all kinds of stuff, from network administration to technical writing to desktop publishing. I love having a fuzzy job description.
Who is Brian at play?
I’m infatuated with electronic representations of ordinary and extraordinary real-life events. Thus, I love video games and electronic music as well as computers in general. I used to compose music as a kid and have maintained an archive of my compositions – some of which have been featured in games and other professional productions (perhaps most notably The Scene episode 7), played on the radio, and remixed and played at raves. I am a hobbyist DJ and host an all-but-defunct DJ blog with many downloadable mix sets of various electronic genres. For the time being I also host a weekly internet radio show on Radiogrounds (Tuesdays at 7:00pm EST). Aside from these fascinating endeavours I’m really rather boring.
Who is Brian at the ballots?
Confused. I lean rather far to the left with some contrasting opinions. For instance, I’m all for immigration but I feel immigrants should have working knowledge of at least one of Canada’s official languages. I’m pro-environment, prole-centric, and very much in favour of governmental openness of policies and procedures. Whatever party meets this description and caters to my ethical demands will get my vote. I voted NDP last election, but the Green and Liberal parties made strong cases and might steal my vote next time.
